Chick-Fil-A Nuggets

This #FoodieFriday recipe comes from Sometimes it’s really nice to gorge on some comfort food; however, you usually end up feeling worthless, regretting all that garbage you consumed. What if you could comfortably nosh without the guilt? Well if you enjoy chicken nuggets (everyone) you will be surprised how good this healthy comfort food recreation turns out!

Now what about the best part – what to dip it in? It’s hard-pressed to find a decent dressing that DOES NOT contain a highly inflammatory, processed industrial seed and/or vegetable oil (i.e. corn, soybean, canola, sunflower, safflower). Though not as good some of the best ranch dressings out there, we decided to try this alternative recipe with quality ingredients. It was easy to make and quite satisfactory to the palate.

Ranch Dressing makes about 1 cup
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup + 1 tbsp buttermilk
  • ¾ tsp dried dill
  • 1 tsp finely chopped chives
  • ½ teaspoon tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • 1/3 tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of salt
Mix by hand and add more seasonings to taste
